A new product recall completes the list which is growing day by day. It concerns sweet pancakes sold in all Aldi supermarkets in France. These would show traces of the Listeria bacteria.
After the pound cake and the marbled bars, it is the turn of a new product appreciated by children to be the subject of a product recall.
This latest concerns sweet crepes with vanilla flavor from the Toques & Tartes brand, sold in all Aldi supermarkets in France. They should no longer be consumed due to the presence of Listeria monocytogene bacteria.
Which product is affected?
The recall concerns vanilla flavored sweet pancakes 600 g. These products, to be kept in the refrigerator, were marketed from 08/04/2022 until 08/12/2022 in all Aldi supermarkets in France. The reason for the recall: possible presence of Listeria Monocytogenes.
The affected products are:
- GTIN 26002002, All lots, Best before date 08/29/2022
The distributor warns of the dangers of the Listeria bacteria. He invites people who would have “consumed the products mentioned” and “who would present feverisolated or accompanied headaches, body aches” to go “consult their attending physician and inform him of this consumption”. This bacterium can also cause “severe forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women”. He adds that listeriosis “is a disease that can be serious and whose incubation period can be up to eight weeks”.
What if you have it at home?
If you have these products in your possession, the Rappel Conso site (the government site which lists all the recalls of finished products intended for consumers) advises you to do not consume itdestroy it or take it back to the store at the nearest point of sale in order to proceed with the refund.
