In Adon, in the Loiret, the restaurant, the only business in the village, has reopened its doors

Since Friday August 5, the Auberge d’Adon, located on Route de la Bussière, has reopened its doors. Mago and Sam are the new owners of the place which they baptized Locanda, which means “inn” in Italian.

Mago, the manager, is at the service and at the bar, Sam is in the kitchen. Although the latter has been a chef since 2000, Mago started working in the restaurant industry in 2002.

Italian cuisine in the spotlight

It was a happy coincidence that landed them in the village. “We were looking for a small house in the countryside to get away from the Parisian stress. One day, I was looking for a desk on the Bon Coin, to put down the menus, and I saw a house for sale in Adon with a restaurant“, says Mago.

“We didn’t know where it was. We put the GPS, we came to see and we bought the house, she continues. We saw that the inn was the only business in the village, so we started.”

In the kitchen, Sam offers only Italian cuisine, honoring his origins.

On prior order, for a group meal, from 12 people, Mago can make a couscous or a tagine. But she insists, “you have to warn me beforehand so that I can order all the necessary spices.”

In August, the restaurant is open every day from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
